Since taking control of Milton Keynes Council in 2002, the Liberal Democrats, with residents’ help, have consistently increased recycling rates in the Borough. This reduces the amount of waste going to landfill, which is taxed by the Government.

The local Liberal Democrats instigated the extension of the Conservation area in Newport Pagnell which now includes three historic buildings on the former Aston Martin site. This now means that they cannot be demolished without planning authorisation and permission!
