I was recently asked my views on tuition fees and it was pointed out that I have not voiced them on my website. Thanks to Phil for pointing this out.
The answer is quite simple, I was opposed and still am opposed to the tuition fee rise as it goes against not only my personal views and principles but also the policy of the Liberal Democrats and I am deeply dismayed with my party at a national level on this issue, but on the other hand I am even more annoyed with the last Labour government to introduce the fees and make the system dependant upon fees to start with!!
Our work locally is very different to that of Nick Clegg MP as we mostly sort local problems for local people. We will continue to work hard locally in Newport Pagnell and Milton Keynes to clearly show we are not being absorbed and that our principles of working hard all year round shine through over other parties.
