Tescos try again

Last year Tesco submitted a planning application for a superstore on the old Aston Martin site which was later withdrawn. Tesco are back with a new application to build a large store 3,240 sqm (about half the size of the Wolverton Tescos) compared to last year’s 2,700sqm. The new application moves the store away from the houses in Priory Street onto the north east of the site and will be cut into the land to reduce the height of the store.

The Liberal Democrats took action and extended the conservation area to protect the three historic buildings once owned by Aston Martin which are very important to our town’s heritage.

We are aware a store of this magnitude brings both pro’s and con’s to our local area but would like to know your views, please take a few minutes to fill in and return the tear off slip below or email us.
